I need some help please regarding my freelander 2, Year 2009, STD4, 2.2. When ever I accelerate, I get a warning of Reduced Engine Performance, then loose power. I need to restart each time for the car to run normally until I randomly get the same issue. I know I haven't change the fuel filter ever, car has a mileage of 150k which I will do.

I have a freelander 2 diesel (2007) which has just started giving 'Reduced Engine Performance' warnings. After restarting the engine it seemed to go away but the fault deteriorated on the way home tonight with the engine losing all power and stalling. Restarts ok (sometimes after a few minutes) and then runs fine for about half a mile then same.

This requires the engine be hled at certain speeds for a required time.During this test the SDD will monitor all the sensor inputs to determine the fault.The boost control actuator has closed loop feedback so the test can be taken as accurate. FL2's seem fairly reliable turbo wise, I see more faults on D3 and Defenders in this area.

We are on our way to Xai Xai and I have an issue with the Freelander When towing a trailer and accelerating to fast, the vehicle goes into limp mode with an message stating reduced engine performance. It is a diesel automatic. Stopping the car and restarting clears the fault. Happend 5-6 times in the past 2 days.
